Founded in 1989, China Association of Foreign Service Trades (short name CAFST) is a non government organization which was registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China.

By now, as a national association representing human resources service industry in China, CAFST has 160 members across the country including state-owned enterprises, private employment agencies and foreign funded companies. They deliver services through the full spectrum of human resources, including HR outsourcing, labor dispatch, recruitment, executive search, business process outsourcing, consulting and other foreign affairs related services.

In 1999, approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CAFST joined Ciett (the former body of World Employment Confederation) as a member of national federations.  By such platform,CAFST plays animportant role on facilitating exchange and cooperation between Chinese human resources service companies and global peers.

Over the years, CAFST represents the interest of members, and lobbies government on issues directly affecting members. Take part in the formulating of regulations and setting of professional standards regarding to human resources service industry.  Provide a platform for members to share best practice, exchange information and cooperate with each other.  Help members on developing their skills and optimizing their operation. Advocate for providing integrity service.Carry out the executive president rotating system to mobilize initiative of members on contribution to the management of the association.

Today, 30 years after its founding, CAFST has become the most influential association in China’s human resources service industry.
